My Mom's Quilt

My mom had many interests and hobbies. One was quilting and there was a time when putting together this friendship quilt was a big project in our household. My sister and I have memories of my mom gathering all the squares and putting them together - all pieces of her history. There are quilt blocks from her sisters, her daughters, her friends and her mentors.

Now the quilt is worn and in need of revitalization. Any creative ideas of what we can do with these precious pieces of the past?

 

True Friendship

For the past 9.5 years these boys have been pelting each other with something.

Today it was wet socks and soaked seed capsules of the Sweetgum tree.

On other days it was, among other things, airsoft bullets, pinecones and

of course, mud.
