Our family is praying about joining K in her adventure next summer in Asia for one week on the ship. It is unknown as to yet which port they will be in or if they'll have room for our family, but if God works out the details, we'll go.
So for Family Fun Night this week our goal was to learn a little bit about India. We've been following Sonlight's My Passport to India video series about a man named Chris and his 10 day journey to India to find more about the work that Mission India is doing in the country.
***Dum Ka Keem in process
Tonight we enjoyed a recipe for Dum Ka Keem recommended by a friend and learned how to make Roti (flat bread) complements of Manjula's You tube video. Try as we may we couldn't get them to puff up quite like she did but our finished products were tasty when wrapped around the meat.
Our evening finished with an inspiring Torchlighter's animated version of the story of Amy Carmichael. This missionary to India is best known for rescuing children. Her heart's desire was summed up in this quote:
