...(like Volcanoes) she'll pull out the scrapbooks to go with it.
Inspired by her scrapbooks, she may lead her daughter into making a lapbook on Volcanoes.
The lap book will remind her daughter of her Erupting Volcano experiment. Then she will want to grab her friend and video recording brother to repeat this experiment many times in succession just to make sure she knows how it works....
When they run out of lava, they will be hungry and set to making tonight's dessert.
So Mom will run to get a photo.
And chances are, when she gets her photo,
she'll want to make a scrapbook to go with it.
As any mom of preschoolers will realize, this is a take off on A-'s favorite book, If You Give A Mouse A Cookie. The Cool Volcano was an activity in God's Design for Heaven and Earth: Our Planet Earth (an AiG curriculum). The lapbook is a creative way to collect and review information on any subject that a hands-on-learner is tackling. Portion of a scrapbook page from our awe inspiring journey into a crater on our 2001 trip to New Zealand.
