*** Since our state is quite snowless at this time, we had to make our own "snow." Using a recipe from Fairies Cookbook by Barbara Beery, the competitors changed tortillas into snowflakes.
For the moms, the Iditarod challenge was providing the Banquet of the North (recipes provided by the e-cookbook, Aunt Sarah's Alaskan Cookbook).
